Windows Xp Sp3 Windows Update Not Working


I may have missed the proper way to get help.I connect to the Net I "go direct". I was getting conflicts with my video driver so my display reverted to 640x480. Not all the time, but often enough that I got burned twice. I think you need to install windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe before it'll start working. I had the same problem on a clean install of XP. If you wait long enough, it will resolve itself. So I did.

  1. So I did & rebooted.
  2. Anyway, I THINK things are finally working the way they should I guess I'll see if any other updates keep showing up.
  3. Hopefully this way, it will do the job and cost you nothing.
