  3. Your computer most likely has USB legacy support enabled since it only has USB ports and it allows you to press Enter to boot to the cd, the problem only arises

So, the data was being written to disk, but not in a way that a correctly functioning XP install could read at all. They're usually pretty good with their support. I really appreciate it. I use an Apple USB keyboard with my computer.

Done. You can not post a blank message. You might have more luck with a XP, slipstreamed with SP3. It had to be a generic keyboard, not one with extra buttons.
