The missing search option problem is solved. You can fix this problem by registering a couple of system DLLs.If the Search Companion registration is broken, the Search window may be completely blank. It is a panel I never use and the Search is shown in the Toolbar. Both do nothing when clicked (at all, not even an hour glass or anything).
