Both boxes were checked. Windows automatically found the speakers and reinstalled them. I had the same problem whit my laptop when I installed win 7 - fujitsu siemens AMILO Xa 25288 - sound coming out from laptop speakers, but none from plugged in This might add extra devices to the list. http://powerglobaldesigns.com/windows-vista/windows-vista-headset-microphone-not-working.html

can u tell me whats wrong with my headphone jack if the speakers make noise and the earphones make noice WITH the earphones plugged in?
