Windows Update Firefox Not Working
Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Could you please help me with this problem? Currently, there is ‘nothing’ from Microsoft in there, which seems strange, because I know that I just updated my system with over 200 different updates. Still, at this point everything works fine. It does not find and/or resolve any issues.
To answer your third question: yes and no. For the life of me I can't figure out why MS or Google haven't addressed this issue. I feel like I am going nuts over this issue. And this product does not show half of high-priority updates (comparing to Microsoft Update update.microsoft.com) and doesn't give any optional updates. I do not see how this could potentially make a difference, and discontinue my service, seeing as though most every other web-browser is installed under this directory.
I tried it… and IT WORKED!!! You can also manually update Windows using Microsoft Updates website. As long as you are regularly installing the latest Windows updates from Microsoft, you should have the latest version of Internet Explorer. Tip: Users may enter the chrome://chrome/ into the Omnibox (Chrome address bar) to achieve the same result.
So you need to use IE in case of manually updating Windows. Thank you for getting back to me. Doing the same and hitting ‘OK’ did not do anything either. Currently, I have lost 4 days of both work and school because of this problem, and I am pulling my hair out attempting to figure this issue out.
Therefore, just to be on the safe side, after I checked my entire system with all of the above mentioned antivirus & mal-ware programs I downloaded a new .img, burned it, It still works fine there. I am not a computer tech and only know enough to make me dangerous. Chrome is running just fine for me since making this change. Amazon.com web page will load but will freeze every time. Every time I started chrome I would get a popup that "windows firewall has blocked some features of this program" When I turned the firewall off and opened chrome windows would I am very upset for not being able to use it anymore and hesitantly and reluctantly co-existing with IE (I hate it). Nothing happens when clicking on the add bookmark. Everything is update, fresh profile, and even fresh install of Firefox. Today is May 13,2015.
