It turns out for me I had some sort of attributes set on my files, and if WMP sees the attributes set, it skips the folders. Uninstall Windows Media Player hehe Yor blog is on my favorites bar. Another site suggested removing System attribute from directories. This solved the problem beautifully, as everything else I had tried didn't work.
