As much as this feature is annoying to me I did not want to leave it disabled so I re-enabled it. Reinstall Windows Media Player You can get it at www.videolan.org. I am seriously considering to go back to xp, it was way easier and all of the software I bought worked properly.

How do I get this to stop doing this?  WMP 11 will play non-DRM songs just fine.  But if it's something I purchased and has "protection," it crashes. The problem is that when you try to open Windows Media Player, it just will not open!
