I suspect it has something to do with the video card but will have to research more. Once it is running everything looks gorgeous. To make it short, what worked was removing the DVDLauncher start up from the registry.The registry key was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and the entry was DVDLauncher REG_SZ C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exe. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=32462 May be excessive \ in path cause a problem?
