For now… it appears that I'm now going to be getting many duplicates from reruns despite still having them recorded. (It doesn't recognize the previously recorded shows as being the same.) because of that and possibly the windows updates probably threw my other tuner off because that one was working fine. I was able to re-run and re-set WMC without needing to remove WMC by way of de-selecting it in the Windows Features and re-booting the system. Depending on your location, you may have more channels in the guide than you had before the transition. I had to remove and reinstall WMC **and** change the DNS to google.
