I inadvertently hit the "Work Offline" button on the toolbar which needless to say, took me off line. I never use IE, and it's pretty sad that they didn't design Live Mail "smart" enough to go online by itself without IE's permission. If Yahoo were to somehow go away, I'm hard pressed to see how my life will change over that, either .... Without it, you'll easily forget that you were offline, and messages will just "seat there"!

I did what I suppose I should have done before starting the thread - a system restore. The installation simply fixes the glitch that occurred within the software that was causing the goofy on-line/off-line behavior that would not clear itself.
