I believe this is related to installation of anti virus software, I have two computers that stopped working within a week of each other, right after installing Nortons Antivirus, and I've From the comments, it seemed to open another trouble. I am out of sorts now. For me UAC was set to "Never Notify", when I bumped it to "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to Windows settings" everything started working again. Can any one help me? Apps are working great as well, even on computers that previously had these Windows 8 app issues.
