I have Windows 7 Pro on my desktop machine at work, and I cannot get it upgraded to Enterprise or Ultimate. Frankly, Microsoft owes this feature to all Win7 users, but Win8 is now the new (and obviously, at the time of this writing, failed) focus of attention. Right click on the desktop. If you want to know what more options you can use to open remote desktop, type mstsc.exe /? Enable multimon RDP serving from Win7 Pro!! As you say, it also could encourage users to upgrade.
