Windows 7 Aero Not Working After Sleep
I have a t61p with quaddro 570m. Reply Igor Rizvi? Hell, I updated the BIOS but no luck. I'm suspecting that this might be the problem, but I won't know before I'm at home. Source

A simple restart will enable Aero again, so it isn't broken completely. When it did, in order to avoid a reboot I always have to poke around in the system trying to find a place where I can turn it back on. check over here

In fact, the sound card disappears from the Device Manager all together. I've tried multiple suggestions online to solve the problem, including updating the Graphics card, but I am not sure if it worked properly because the problem persists. Aero Peek and Window Transparency disabled after sleep.
