pblanton my laptop (HP Elitebook 8570w with Windows ) wouldn't set the time correctly even when I set the time zone properly and used the Internet time server. My computer was synced to time.windows.com and I changed it to use time.nist.gov and it fixed the problem. When open, go to Windows Time, right click and select properties.
