I can RDP into both the host and the VM just fine now.
I am guessing when I disabled access for the host the first time, something glitched and it never really worked after that. I know mine wont work if it's not on the middle one. You do not need to enable the telnet server - don't bother doing it. Have you actually checked if the host is listening on port 3389? (run netstat -a from the command prompt and see if the port 3389 is listed? 0 check your server firewall ... I don't know that I need to enable it however, unless it's required for RDP (other than testing).
