Outlook 2010 Rebuild Index

I... It seems odd that Outlook set up such a nice litte tab under view in the arrangements section and it doesn't work. Who are the people on this picture? As soon as I close Outlook, it goes back to Disabled Application Add-ins.

  8. I have tried all the obvious repair tasks such as repairing office, disabling all add-ins, rebuilding the index, compacting the PST, but no luck.

So maybe the indexer is still looking at a pst file somewhere on the C drive. It seems to work fine once the service is restarted, so we have our workaround - but this is very odd.
