Windows Media Centre Guide Not Working


Took me about 4 tries for it to take. Working... Updating EPG said was OK but never really worked. For several years Windows Media Center has been working without any problems. http://powerglobaldesigns.com/media-center/windows-media-center-tv-guide-not-working.html

Media Center Guide Not Updating

From this article (http://www.thedigitalmediazone.com/2015/07/08/microsoft-breathes-new-life-into-media-center-guide/) we can see that Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data was converted from Zap2It to Rovi. Changing the zip from 80301 to 80308 (for Boulder CO) caused the guide to change from Zap2it to Rovi and that brought my listings back. They will function as expected going forward. because of that and possibly the windows updates probably threw my other tuner off because that one was working fine.

I get all the channels but I do not get the ability to attempt to download the guide. Your method worked. This presents as "no information available" in the guide, however you will be able to tune and watch that channel.

Wmc Guide No Data Available

Pretty weird if I have to hack MC onto W10 when I don't even want MC at all. I have run and re-run Windows Update, but when I come back into WMC and re-run tuner set up, I'm still pulling listings from ZapIt - which don't go beyond 7/26. I bought a new PC last week - this is the system I use Media Center on - and it wouldn't download the TV Listings or cable provider data for days! BS, the EPG is what sold WMC and makes it a fully functional DVR Microsoft needs to address this and release a downloadable update to repair the issue & properly set That tells me it is not a problem with my internet connection or firewall.Has anyone run into this problem?
