Williaml99 Member Posts 113 Posts 09-07-2015,11:47 PM #2 Same deal no guide I began deleting my recordings from the files library instead of clicking delete while in the media center. so in my situation because it was analog cable I am able to run MC setup on both machines and get my working channel lineup but I lost all my scheduled weblink I use a metro pcs hotspot because charter charges almost $60 a month for cable internet that is marketed at 30mbps- which is laughable.

I attempt to ping data.tvdownload.microsoft.com but I keep getting Request timed out. Could that be the reason it is reporting missing files for playback? My guess is that when the conversion from zap2it to Rovi was performed they did not take the video card type (pc's only) into consideration. Everything was working great until past several days when I continually got a notice that guide was out of date and scheduled recordings weren't working correctly. If your DNS is working why change it to Google DNS? I'm having a slightly different problem.

I doubt the zip code has anything to do with it because I believe the zip code simply identifies the cable companies in your vicinity. I use Comcast on WMC with Ceton 4. One can assume that Microsoft expects to promote the Xbox One experience as the future of living room entertainment through a Universal app that will also be available for Windows 10 I have also sent a message to Rovi via their twitter handle and am waiting for a reply. 3/29/2016: The guide is now updating correctly to 4/11/2016.

I "tweeted" Rovi and they passed the buck back to Microsoft. When I run the TVSetup I get "Download Failure. They will function as expected going forward. I've looked for solutions but unsuccessful so far.
