Windows Media Center Is Downloading The Most Up-to-date Not Working
I have tried removing reinstalling media center, re-running setup with a dozen different zips, tried running that update from task manager, tried changing to a different provider and back and I Is it possible that they have only released that update to 32 bit machines so far? All I have is over air TV. - I went ahead and ran through the whole WMC setup, My OTA channels work fine in the guide, however; not so much for the cable channels in the guide.
- I can ping the address using http://ipaddress.com/ping/.
- We don't yet know what Microsoft is planning as a replacement for Windows 10, but a recent alignment with the Xbox One might be the first clue.
- With some debugging I found that the television guide was not updating correctly for my over antenna signals.

If your system is still resolving to the older guide system (Zap2It) this process will continue to fail regardless of what zip codes you enter. We're obviously in the "not dead" camp. I finally had to retire my WMC. My work around has fixed the guide on three PC's with different video cards. I have run and re-run Windows Update, but when I come back into WMC and re-run tuner set up, I'm still pulling listings from ZapIt - which don't go beyond 7/26.
Xbox One should have Windows Media Center, although they might need to rename it as Xbox Media Center.
