Wii Optical Drive Not Working

Seems my four year old had inserted a crayon wrapper into it and failed to inform me of this. Disc not spinning, but inserts/ejects as normal - The problem could be a dead laser, spindle motor, or laser movement motor.
If this is of concern, disable WiiConnect24 in Standby Mode in the Wii Settings menu. Each one is a lever that helps to control the loading and ejecting mechanism. Next, you need to unscrew the DVD drive from the Nintendo Wii by following my DVD drive replacement guide through step 4, found here. I got it cheap, and was sad when I found out it had a problem.

All previous syncs have been removed from your console at this point. Just wanted to thank you for the excellent disassembly guide. Does your tv catch the DVD player? disc did not spin up, and only made a few quiet attempts to do so, before posting the black screen error message.

Everything else is fine. If possible, try swapping the Bluetooth module with a known working one to determine if that is the cause.
