I have gone through all of the regular uninstall the keyboard and all associated drivers with the computer and none of it has worked. He did so. This has got me baffled. All are set to default. When the computer first boots it comes to the Windows log on screen which asks you to enter ctrl-alt-delte so that you can log in. I wonder what happens if you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice instead of just once ?

I have no idea whether or not this will help in your situation, but I will suggest that you do it anyway since it is the first step in trouble-shooting just I then shut it down and restarted, pressed ctrl, alt, delete when asked and it accepted it like a charm.
